Throughout my dealings with SkyElectric staff in Islamabad I have always received a substandard level of service. It is very frustrating because in the beginning I had to keep on chasing Mr. Tahir Alvi to arrange a visit to my house. I am extremely busy and rely on people to be punctual but time and again a lot of my precious time was wasted as I ended up waiting for them for up to two hours after the agreed-upon appointment. Now that the installation has started I’m running into the same problem. The staff was supposed to come to my house for the installation at 11 AM this morning. It is now 3 PM and I keep on hearing that the staff is on its way.I just can’t put everything on hold and waste my time waiting for them. Yesterday the installation team installed the inverter and the battery compartment below it. It is a less than clean installation and when I pointed out the lack of symmetry between the two panels I was told that they look fine. Proper measurements are not been taken to ensure that it’s a clean installation. Lastly the door of the battery panel is defective. I am being told time and again that they will replace the door. I am not happy with that and I have told them when something is defective fresh out of a box I need the entire unit to be replaced rather than just the door. I have lived in the US for a good part of my life and when something is defective out of the box the entire unit is replaced. I’m going to cancel the contract Okay now following up after the company making numerous reassurances that they promise to provide exemplary service I went ahead with the contract. On Tuesday, January 2, 2019 my entire system was consuming only 700 W of power, that is 0.7 kW. The battery showed a percentage of 40. suddenly the batteries went from 40% to 0% and I lost power. After numerous complaints they finally arrived home and told me that the problem happened because the firmware was outdated and there was a loose cable in the battery compartment. After working on it for several hours I was told the problem is fixed. Just today on January 30 the battery was being intelligently charged and it showed a percentage of 54. Certainly the power went out and the batteries collapsed to 0% as well. I was told and promised before the installation that if there was a hardware issue they would arrive home immediately. Now I am being told that I have to wait for about 10 hours. Apparently they have given me old batteries that have gone through multiple discharge and discharge cycles. This usually happens with lithium I when phosphate batteries as it does in mobile phones that once the charge drops and the battery is old, it very quickly drains and goes to 0%. There are not listening and I am now going to report them to the Department of consumer protection. Horrible service and horrible hardware
